Janice L. Herbst

Sunbury – Janice L. Herbst, 88, passed away on January 20, 2025. 

Janice was born in 1938 as the only child of the late William L. and Lovina (Benner) Herbst. Janice was a lover of the outdoors as evidenced by the many hours spent walking (or biking) through Sunbury and nearby towns. 

She was a graduate of the 1956 class of Sunbury High School.

Janice is survived by several cousins, and very special neighbors, Cara Bunch, and Lester Albright, who were always there to help her, care for her, and love her. 

Janice’s remains will be placed next to her parents in the Pomfret Manor Cemetery. There will be no public services.
